Hokkigai, a type of surf clam, is produced in Hokkaido, and Tomakomai accounts for about 15% of the total catch in Japan. Only clams that are 9 cm or larger are harvested. It takes 60 minutes by car or train from Sapporo, 10 minutes by car to the Tomakomai West Port Ferry Terminal, and 30 minutes by car or 25 minutes by train to New Chitose Airport. It takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach Haneda Airport via New Chitose Airport. Tomakomai is a key transportation hub connecting the Sapporo area, the Hidaka region, and the Shiraoi-Noboribetsu area in central Hokkaido. From the perspectives of Tokyo, Sapporo, and Tomakomai, you can manage all stages of processes such as factory establishment, product manufacturing outsourcing, and distribution.

The venue hosts a world championship and includes four skating facilities, which are part of the National Training Center for ice hockey, as well as six outdoor facilities such as a baseball field, athletics stadium, and tennis courts. It also has six indoor facilities, including a multi-purpose gymnasium with a seating capacity of 6,650. These facilities can be used for nearly all types of competitions and team building activities.
There are 13 accommodation facilities of various sizes, including business hotels and ryokan (traditional inns), around Tomakomai Station. It is possible to divide teams into different accommodations, which can help foster interaction with the local community.
It is Japan's largest industrial base, covering a total area of 10,700 hectares, where industrial functions are concentrated. High-standard roads run across the region, adjacent to the Tomakomai Port East Area. It is 17 km from New Chitose Airport and 9 km from JR Tomakomai Station, offering excellent access by land, sea, and air. Through inspections, you can learn about processes such as planning, production, shipping, commercialization, and distribution to the world.
